A great partnership was formed when Kia Motors Corporation
through its distributor in Brunei, Grand Motors Sdn Bhd handed over a brand new
Kia Optima to IBTE School of Energy and Engineering Central Mechanical Campus
last 28th September 2016.
‘With its (The Kia Optima) turnover to IBTE, we are hopeful that
future generations of technicians will learn more about today’s technology and
be able to apply this knowledge in the pursuit of their career paths,’ said Mr
Frankie Ho, Grand Motors’ Managing Director, during the ceremony.
The brand new Kia Optima will be a training vehicle for students
at the Institute with which they can put what they have learned into practice
to achieve a better understanding of the features and the technologies of the
car. Through this, hopefully they can also hone their skills and be better
prepared for actual work in the future.
‘The Kia operation in Brunei is really performing well beginning
last year. And we expect it to become even better,’ said Mr Steve Lee,
President of Kia Motors Corporation.
Indeed Kia has been very active in the public eye with roadshows
and test drives happening over the past weekend. Not to forget the ongoing
Lucky Draw which is in conjunction with Kia’s 20th anniversary, which is still
ongoing until the 31st of December 2016.
